Meyer Family Vineyards
Color: | Varietal: | Vintage: 2009 | Size:

Within our family owned McLean Creek Road vineyard in Okanagan Falls lies a 1.2 hectare block of Chardonnay. The Chardonnay vines are grown in soils made up of broken Gneiss and alluvial based gravel and sandy loam. The moderately steep southerly aspect with an elevation of 380 metres is slightly warmer than its Naramata “Old Main Road”counterpart.

Aromas lean more towards the broken rock and alluvial gravel where the vines are grown with strong minerality on the nose and hints of tropical fruit and ginger due to the southerly aspect. Palate is smooth and elegant with a crisp finish.

An excellent example of Chardonnay’s place of origin when compared to the “Old Main Road Vineyard” Chardonnay
